Volleyball Recap: Prentice Extends Winning Streak to Three

Prentice had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Mellen Granite Diggers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 on September 6th.

Prentice got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Piper Heikkinen out in front who had 14 digs and two aces. Sophie Staroba was another key player, getting three digs and two aces.

Prentice's win bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Mellen, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six matches and leaves them with a 10-5 record.

Prentice wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Chequamegon on the 27th. Mellen has also already played their next contest (against Rhinelander), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
