Basketball Recap: Federal Hocking Snags Sixth Victory in Last Seven Games

Federal Hocking took a 22-point loss the last time they faced off against Southeastern, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Federal Hocking Lancers had just enough and edged the Southeastern Panthers out 59-57. Given the Lancers' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 78th, while the Panthers are ranked 517th), the result on Saturday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Federal Hocking is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.2 points. As for Southeastern, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-8.

Federal Hocking will head out to take on Waterford at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Southeastern, they will host Adena at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
