Baseball Recap: Holbrook Victorious

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Holbrook ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Chinle Wildcats 5-4. For the Roadrunners, this counts as revenge for the 7-6 victory the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Hayden Eisele and Ben Eisele did most of the damage at the plate: Hayden scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Ben went 2-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI. Those two doubles gave Ben a new career-high.

Holbrook's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Chinle, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.

When Holbrook and Chinle next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Holbrook will square off against Snowflake and their three-game winning streak at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Chinle will try to stop Show Low's three-game winning streak when they meet at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
