Baseball Recap: Casady Cyclones vs. Crossings Christian Knights
Casady was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss. They fell victim to a tough 18-5 defeat at the hands of the Crossings Christian Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Casady of the 12-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.
Ethan Hamilton made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
On Crossings Christian's side, they got a great performance from Cale Doughty as he pitched five innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits.
At the plate, Alex Foraker was a standout: he scored four runs and stole three bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Maddox Turner, who scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.
Casady's defeat dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Crossings Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-8.
