Basketball Game Preview: Bethany Community Wolves vs. McMichael Phoenix

The Bethany Community Wolves will venture away from home to challenge the McMichael Phoenix at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with seven consecutive losses for Bethany Community and four for McMichael.

On Tuesday, Bethany Community was beaten by Leadership Academy 96-48. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 515th, while the Falcons are ranked 120th).

Meanwhile, McMichael came up short against Rockingham County on Tuesday and fell 59-47.

Bethany Community's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for McMichael, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.

Bethany Community suffered a grim 67-45 defeat to McMichael in their previous meeting back in December of 2019. Thankfully for Bethany Community, Gabe Caple (who went 7 for 15 on his way to 26 points and four steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
