Baseball Recap: Doniphan Comes Up Short

Doniphan fell victim to Poplar Bluff and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 13-0 to the Mules. The defeat continues a trend for the Dons and Donettes in their meetings with the Mules: they've now lost three in a row.

Doniphan now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Poplar Bluff, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Doniphan will host Kennett at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Poplar Bluff, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Central at 4:30 p.m.
