Football Game Preview: Filer Wildcats vs. Buhl Indians + How To Watch

The Filer Wildcats will head out on the road to challenge the Buhl Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Filer will be strutting in after a win while Buhl will be coming in after a defeat.

It was a proper cat-fight when Filer faced off against Mountain Home on Friday. The Wildcats breezed past the Tigers to the tune of 43-8. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by 35 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Filer to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tristan Rea, who threw for 355 yards and five TDs. Rea's passing game has become a key predictor of the Wildcats' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 0-3 otherwise. Jarrett Mai handled things on the ground, rushing for 100 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Filer's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. In that department, Cache Palmer was the leader with three sacks. He has been hot, having also posted five or more total tackles the last six times he's played. Willow Taylor was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making 12 total tackles.

Meanwhile, Buhl played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Kimberly, falling 45-21. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Indians have suffered since September 13, 2024.

Buhl's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-2. As for Filer, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Filer might still be hurting after the 48-23 loss they got from Buhl when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
