Basketball Game Preview: St. Mary Cardinals vs. Centerville Tornadoes

Having just played yesterday, the St. Mary Cardinals will jump right back in to play the Centerville Tornadoes at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are out to turn their luck around after having lost tight contests in their previous games.

St. Mary heads in on the heels of a playoff contest on Friday. They fell just short of Sanborn Central/Woonsocket by a score of 45-43. The Cardinals' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Centerville faced Bennett County in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Centerville fell just short of Bennett County by a score of 44-41. The matchup marked the Tornadoes' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Centerville fell to 25-1. As for St. Mary, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-7.

St. Mary came up short against Centerville when the teams last played back in February, falling 57-52. Can St. Mary avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
