The Blacksburg Bruins fell victim to the Patrick Henry Patriots''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Patriots, falling 68-0. Blacksburg has struggled against Patrick Henry recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Chanler Montgomery threw for 37 yards on six of nine attempts. Javier N waldron was his top target, picking up 39 receiving yards. On the ground, James Rich rushed for 49 yards.
Blacksburg's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 4.7 points per game. As for Patrick Henry, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.
