Volleyball Recap: Corvallis Beats Silverton for Their Fifth Straight Victory

While Corvallis's win against Silverton wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Spartans had just enough and edged out the Foxes 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Spartans sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (111-98) Corvallis actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 30-28, 16-25, 12-25, 25-21, 15-12.

Corvallis' victory bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Silverton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.

Corvallis will take on West Albany at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Silverton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
