Basketball Recap: Engadine Comes Up Short

Engadine lost against Newberry back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Engadine Eagles had to suffer through an 80-18 loss at the hands of the Newberry Indians. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 617th, while the Indians are ranked 274th).

Engadine's loss dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Newberry, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-7.

Engadine does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Newberry, they will take on Brimley in a tournament on Friday. Newberry has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
