Baseball Recap: Walsh Jesuit Takes a Loss

Walsh Jesuit was the 8-7 winner over St. Edward when they last played one another on Monday, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles on Tuesday.

Walsh Jesuit has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for St. Edward, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Walsh Jesuit will welcome Archbishop Hoban at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for St. Edward, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Midview at 5:00 p.m.
