Softball Game Preview: Lower Richland Diamond Hornets vs. Darlington Falcons

Lower Richland is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Monday. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Darlington Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Lower Richland is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They came up short against Northside Christian Academy, falling 27-5.

Meanwhile, Darlington didn't have quite enough to beat Lewisville on Saturday and fell 4-3. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Carly Gainey made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run.
