Softball Recap: Guilderland Flying Dutchmen vs. Bethlehem Central Eagles

Guilderland suffered their biggest defeat since May 23, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 16-4 to the Bethlehem Central Eagles. The Flying Dutchmen were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Alyssa Griffin was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Hallie Czajka, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

This is the second loss in a row for Guilderland and nudges their season record down to 5-5. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 7-2 Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 75.3% over those games).
