Des Arc came tearing into Saturday's matchup with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Izard County Cougars.

The team relied heavily on Emma Buckner, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Kymber Buckner, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Des Arc's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Des Arc will challenge Barton at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Izard County, they will venture away from home to square off against Mammoth Spring at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Izard County is facing Mammoth Spring at the right time seeing as Mammoth Spring is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
