Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Freedom). They never let the Pleasant Valley Bears get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory on Friday. The Patriots not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since May 8, 2024.
Freedom got a great performance from Darien Serrano as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Colin Andrews, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Kullman, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Freedom's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Pleasant Valley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
