Soccer Recap: Verona Gets the Win

Verona kept a clean sheet against Glenbrook South on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over the Titans. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Verona's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 30th in Wisconsin, while Glenbrook South are ranked 90th in Illinois).

Verona's victory bumped their record up to 7-2-4. As for Glenbrook South, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-7-1.

Coming up, Verona is taking a road trip to face off against Madison Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Glenbrook South, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Glenwood on the 27th.
