Volleyball Recap: Hughesville Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Hughesville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wellsboro Hornets. The Spartans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Hornets from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-18, 21-25, 25-21.

Ellie Largey was the offensive standout of the contest as she had eight digs and three aces.

Hughesville's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Wellsboro, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

Hughesville has already played their next game (against Loyalsock Township), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Wellsboro, they will challenge Towanda at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
