Volleyball Recap: Garner Has No Trouble Against Pine Forest

Garner won the last time they faced Pine Forest and things went their way on Thursday too. Garner was the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over Pine Forest.

Garner not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Pine Forest between 17 and 18 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-17, 25-17.

Pamela Guzman paced Garner's offense, picking up nine kills. Guzman got some help from Kaitlyn Dean and her 16 assists. Finally, Cassidy Marsh kept Garner's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

The victory got Garner back to even at 3-3. As for Pine Forest, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, Garner will challenge Person at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Pine Forest, they will take on Cape Fear at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
