After losing to National Trail the last time they met, Newton Local decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Indians were the clear victors by a 13-7 margin over the Blazers on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won six matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Newton Local is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games. As for National Trail, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-11.

Looking ahead, Newton Local will face off against Arcanum at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for National Trail, they will welcome Union City at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
