Softball Recap: Trinity Comes Up Short

If Trinity was feeling good fresh off their 13-6 takedown of Souhegan last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pioneers came up short against the St. Thomas Aquinas Saints on Monday, falling 9-2.

Olivia Pearson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Trinity's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for St. Thomas Aquinas, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Trinity is set to challenge their familiar foe Stevens at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, St. Thomas Aquinas will square off against rival Newport at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
