Soccer Recap: Contreras Comes Up Short

Contreras was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Bernstein Dragons, falling 5-2. While losing is never fun, the Cobras can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 886th, while the Dragons are ranked 429th).

Contreras' loss dropped their record down to 2-9-3. As for Bernstein, their win bumped their record up to 10-6-3.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Belmont the next time they take the pitch. Bernstein will host Belmont at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, while Contreras will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
