Volleyball Recap: Nemaha Central Snags Seventh Victory in Last Nine Games

If Horton wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Nemaha Central, they should've done a better job of containing Grace Hammes. The Thunder walked away with a 2-0 win over the Chargers on Saturday with plenty of help from Hammes, who had 14 digs. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-21.

Nemaha Central has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Horton, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7-1.

Nemaha Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Hiawatha on the 13th. As for Horton, they will head out on the road to challenge McLouth on Tuesday.
