Fernandina Beach is 8-2 against Bishop Snyder since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Pirates will host the Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.
Fernandina Beach took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Bolles with a sharp 11-1 win. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
Carsen Chmiel was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Chmiel was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 1-for-2. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, Rylee Murallo was incredible, firing off two home runs and six RBI while going 2-for-2. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kinleigh Curry, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one double.
Meanwhile, Bishop Snyder made easy work of St. Johns Country Day on Thursday and carried off a 16-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won eight contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Like Fernandina Beach, Bishop Snyder also got a great game from a two-way player: Caitlyn Boshell. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Boshell has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Chloe Gotto, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Ava Williamson was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
Bishop Snyder always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Johns Country Day only posted an OBP of .071.
The victory made it two in a row for Bishop Snyder and bumps their season record up to 12-5. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Fernandina Beach, their victory bumped their record up to 4-9.
