Baseball Recap: ABF Academy Homestead Takes a Loss

ABF Academy Homestead was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Miami Beach Hi-Tides. The Bandits were not able to make up for their defeat to the Hi-Tides from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Kyle De Haseth was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. Those hits were his first of the season.

ABF Academy Homestead's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Miami Beach, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season.

ABF Academy Homestead will face off against Providence Day at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Miami Beach, they will venture away from home to challenge Southwest at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
