Friday, 7 p.m. Eastern timeWhy it's big: One of Western Pennsylvania's oldest and best rivalries renews Friday night for the 83rd time. According to Mike White at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, this will be the first time the teams have played each other in a regular-season finale with undefeated records. The winner will finish the regular season at 9-0 and win the outright WPIAL AA Midwestern Conference title.
It's been a one-sided rivalry in recent years. Aliquippa has won 11 of the last 13 meetings, including a 56-6 rout last season. Beaver Falls' last win over the Quips came during the 2009 regular season. But the result was reversed when the teams met in the WPIAL playoffs.
Names to watch: Aliquippa senior running back/linebacker
Kaezon Pugh recently committed to Pittsburgh, spurning offers from Auburn, Michigan State, Tennessee and many others. Pugh hopes to join the likes of Mike Ditka and Darrelle Revis as Aliquippa natives who went on to All-American careers at Pitt.
Junior defensive lineman
Donovan Jeter is Beaver Falls' most highly recruited current player. The four-star prospect is Pennsylvania's No. 10 prospect for the Class of 2017, according to 247Sports.
