Volleyball Recap: Wednesday's Defeat Ends Holliston's Winning Streak

If Holliston was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Millis last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers came up short against the Bellingham Blackhawks on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Panthers' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

While Holliston was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Bellingham's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-18, 25-20.

Bellingham was led to victory by Sophia Soto and Kaleigh Simpson. Soto had nine digs and seven aces, while Simpson had three digs, three aces, and one block. Soto is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Holliston's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Bellingham, their victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1.
