Recap: Coventry/Windham RVT/Bolton/Lyman Memorial Patriots vs. Ellington Knights
This season hasn't been kind to the Coventry/Windham RVT/Bolton/Lyman Memorial Patriots, who are still winless after their ninth game. They were dealt a 49-12 defeat at the hands of Ellington on Friday. Coventry/Windham RVT/Bolton/Lyman Memorial has not had much luck with Ellington recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Cooper Koehnke was his usual excellent self, rushing for 117 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 carries. Koehnke is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played. Aaron Ladr was another key contributor, throwing for 165 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.
Coventry/Windham RVT/Bolton/Lyman Memorial has yet to win a game at home this season, leaving them with a 0-9 record. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 10-1 Sports & Medical Sciences Academy/Bulkeley/Classical Magnet and 7-2 Coginchaug Regional/East Hampton/Hale Ray (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 55.3% over those games). As for Ellington, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.
Coventry/Windham RVT/Bolton/Lyman Memorial does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Ellington will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Rockville at 6:30 p.m. on November 22nd. Rockville is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
