West Anchorage won the last time they faced South Anchorage and things went their way on Tuesday too. The West Anchorage Eagles snuck past the South Anchorage Wolverines with a 56-51 win.

West Anchorage's victory bumped their record up to 10-12. As for South Anchorage, they dropped their record down to 8-14 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Eagles challenge the Thunderbirds at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bettye Davis East Anchorage will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something West Anchorage surely won't give up without a fight. As for South Anchorage, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Chugiak at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Chugiak's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games.
