Softball Recap: Culpeper County Takes a Loss

Culpeper County fell victim to Eastern View and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cyclones. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cyclones this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-0 back in March.

Culpeper County now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Eastern View, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Culpeper County is set to face off against their familiar foe Chancellor at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Eastern View will challenge rival Caroline at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cyclones 1, the Cavaliers 2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
