Borger's and Canyon's matchup on Wednesday was close at halftime, but Borger turned on the heat in the second half with two goals. The Borger Bulldogs put the hurt on the Canyon Eagles with a sharp 4-1 victory. Considering the Bulldogs have won 12 contests by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The win was the third in a row for Borger, bringing their record for this year to 13-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three games. As for Canyon, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Borger will take on Perryton at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Canyon, they will challenge West Plains at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
