Basketball Game Preview: Pilibos Eagles vs. Buckley Griffins

The Pilibos Eagles will head out to square off against the Buckley Griffins at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Pilibos is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games on Friday. They fell 76-63 to Oakwood. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Wednesday (55), the Eagles still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Buckley was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 69-65 to Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica. The Griffins haven't had much luck with the Seawolves recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Pilibos' defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Buckley, their loss dropped their record down to 14-7.

Everything went Pilibos' way against Buckley in their previous meeting back in January of 2025, as Pilibos made off with a 77-55 victory. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Griffins have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
