Volleyball Recap: Uintah Utes vs. Orem Tigers
After flying high against Summit Academy on Tuesday, Uintah came back down to earth. The Utes lost 3-0 to the Orem Tigers on Thursday. The Utes haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.
The final score came out to 25-12, 25-18, 25-18.
Paisley Bell paced Uintah's offense, picking up seven kills. Bell got some help from Abbie Davis and her 17 assists. Finally, Kenadie Maughan kept Uintah's defense grounded, leading the team with seven blocks.
Uintah's defeat dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Orem, their win was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-2.
Looking ahead, Uintah will venture away from home to face off against Timpanogos at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Orem, they will be taking part in a tournament against Ridgeline at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
