Volleyball Recap: Uintah Takes a Loss

If Uintah was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Summit Academy on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Utes lost 3-0 to the Orem Tigers on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Utes in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost nine in a row.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-18, 25-18.

Paisley Bell paced Uintah's offense, picking up seven kills. Bell got some help from Abbie Davis and her 17 assists. Finally, Kenadie Maughan kept Uintah's defense grounded, leading the team with seven blocks.

Uintah's loss dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Orem, their victory was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-2.

Coming up, Uintah will head out to take on Timpanogos at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Orem, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Ridgeline on the 3rd.
