Baseball Game Preview: Dudley Panthers vs. Northwest Guilford Vikings

The Dudley Panthers will take on the Northwest Guilford Vikings in a tournament on Wednesday. Dudley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.

Dudley saw some tournament action on Tuesday. They fell just short of Northern Guilford by a score of 5-4. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Antonio Lee Jr. made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Donovan Locklear, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Northwest Guilford never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Providence Grove with a sharp 7-0 win. Considering the Vikings have won seven matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Not much got past Hunter Tilley, who gave up just a hit and racked up nine Ks to keep Providence Grove off the board.

On the hitting side, Gram Kerley was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Gentrup, who scored a run while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.

The victory got Northwest Guilford back to even at 9-9. As for Dudley, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.
