Baseball Recap: Northglenn Takes a Loss

Northglenn extended their losing streak to six on Tuesday, dropping them down to 5-9. They came up short against the Riverdale Ridge Ravens, falling 15-1. The Norse were not able to make up for their loss to the Ravens from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

As for Riverdale Ridge, they pushed their record up to 10-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Considering they have won six games by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Riverdale Ridge's part, Carter Wilkerson looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Wilkerson has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Peyton Auen was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominick Guadagnoli, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Northglenn will take on rival Westminster at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Riverdale Ridge is set to challenge their familiar foe Prairie View at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
