Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Hillcrest walked away with it. They skirted past the Fort Mill Yellow Jackets 2-1. Anthony Grudko had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Hillcrest.

Something new happened on Wednesday as Grudko saw his first action of the season, playing 40 minutes against Fort Mill. Grudko made the most of the opportunity, scoring a goal and one steal A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.

The victory made it two in a row for Hillcrest and bumps their season record up to 9-13. As for Fort Mill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-11.

Looking ahead, Hillcrest will square off against Eastside at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Eastside's last four games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Fort Mill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
