Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Choctaw County). They breezed past the Pickens Academy Pirates to the tune of 52-6 on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Tracy Poke and Devin Ruffin. Poke gained 193 total yards and four touchdowns while Ruffin rushed for 141 yards and three TDs on only nine carries. Poke's longest rush was for an impressive 54 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Choctaw County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 335 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Choctaw County and bumps their season record up to 3-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 12 points in those games. As for Pickens Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
