Volleyball Recap: Hamilton Falls Short Against Ranked Frenchtown + How To Watch

Hamilton faced Frenchtown in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. Hamilton fell just short of Frenchtown by a score of 3-2. It was the first time this season that Hamilton let down their fans at home.

Hamilton took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-22, 19-25, 25-11, 15-6.

Ciara Hanley paced Hamilton's offense, picking up 16 kills. Hanley got some help from Aurie Duncan and her 31 assists. Finally, Kaitlyn Snavely kept Hamilton's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Leading Frenchtown to victory were Iris Arlint and Jezzy Palmer. Arlint had 21 digs and six assists, while Palmer had nine digs, five aces, and two blocks. With that strong performance, Arlint is now averaging an impressive 10.2 digs per game.

Hamilton's loss dropped their record down to 12-3-2. As for Frenchtown, they pushed their record up to 20-2-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Hamilton has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Beaverhead County on the 18th. As for Frenchtown, they will square off against Butte Central Catholic at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
