Mayfield took a eight-run loss the last time they faced off against Livingston Central, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Mayfield skirted past Livingston Central 6-4. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Mayfield as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Carson Price was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Mayfield is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-5 otherwise.
