Volleyball Recap: Thurgood Marshall Academy Falls to Friendship Tech Prep Academy in First Game of Season

Thurgood Marshall Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to the Friendship Tech Prep Academy Titans on Monday. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Titans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

While Thurgood Marshall Academy was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Friendship Tech Prep Academy's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-5, 25-6, 15-13.

Looking ahead, Thurgood Marshall Academy will take on E.L. Haynes at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Friendship Tech Prep Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 0-0 victory against SEED DC on the 16th.
