Those 33 points gave Rice a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Bridger LaPine, who went 7 of 10 on his way to 19 points.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hillcrest, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They strolled past Stansbury with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 56-37.
Park City better keep an eye on Thomas Ashby. He was instrumental in Hillcrest's win, putting up 20 points and three steals. Ashby continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Josh Pike, who posted 12 points.

Tuesday's game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Rice and Myles Mahler. Rice has been dynamite this season: he has averaged 17.7 points and 4.6 rebounds. For his part, Mahler has averaged 12.6 points, 2.1 steals, and 5.7 boards.
Park City suffered a grim 73-53 defeat to Hillcrest in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Park City avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
