Volleyball Recap: Granite Bay Comes Up Short

Granite Bay lost against Folsom back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Grizzlies took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. The Grizzlies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Granite Bay ultimately came up short, they really made Folsom work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 27-25, 24-26, 25-15, 25-19.

Folsom's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bhargavram Chintaluri, who had 15 digs. Ethan Jolly also deserves some recognition as he had his first block of the season.

Granite Bay's loss dropped their record down to 16-13. As for Folsom, they pushed their record up to 24-9 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Granite Bay has already played their next match (against Rocklin), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Folsom, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Whitney on the 9th.
