Baseball Recap: Caney Comes Up Short

Caney entered their game against Boswell on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Caney took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Boswell. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 18-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2015.

Caney's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Boswell, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Looking ahead, Caney will welcome Broken Bow at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Broken Bow's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Caney's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Boswell, they will challenge Coleman at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
