York-Adams 3 recap October 1, 2013
Eastern York was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from sixth to fourth in York-Adams 3. Earlier in the week, the Golden Knights defeated Hanover 42-20.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Littlestown beat York Catholic 21-7. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Thunderbolts.
Biglerville's dynamic duo of Mason Unger and Taylor Group proved tough for Delone Catholic to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Unger threw for 123 yards and Group had 65 yards receiving.
Lucas Reynolds was a beast in the backfield as Littlestown bested the Fighting Irish.
Reynolds provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Mike Lippy's team defeated York Catholic. Reynolds' key target this week was Trevor Hildebrand, who caught 2 passes for 10 yards.
On the heels of Hildebrand and Dustin DeGroft, the Thunderbolts have had great success on offense. Hildebrand leads the league in passing with 674 yards, while DeGroft has rushed for 604 yards this season. 200CB-60BB5's team's Qua'shawn Grooms leads the league in receiving yards with 328 on 14 catches.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Littlestown takes on Eastern York. As it stands, the Thunderbolts are in first, while Richard Brubaker's team is in fourth.
York Suburban fell to Bermudian Springs 54-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Ch'aim Smith was a bright spot for the Trojans, as he ran for 80 yards in the defeat.
