Mullins took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They came out on top against East Clarendon by a score of 59-50. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Auctioneers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Kingstree over Lamar in every quarter on their way to victory on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Kingstree blew Lamar out of the water with a 64-14 final score. The Blazers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 37 points or more this season.
Kingstree found their leader in sophomore Naydia Shaw, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 steals. Shaw is also crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least eight every time she's taken the court this season.
