Basketball Recap: Bronte Takes a Loss

Bronte lost against Robert Lee back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bronte Longhorns were outmatched by the Robert Lee Steers and fell 64-29. While losing is never fun, the Longhorns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1179th, while the Steers are ranked 398th).

Bronte's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Robert Lee, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bronte will take on Eula in a holiday battle at at 1:45 p.m. on Friday. Robert Lee and Irion County will compete for holiday cheer at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.
