Jose Araujo leads Latino College Preparatory Academy to victory over Mid-Peninsula

The Latino College Preparatory Academy Golden Eagles had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past Mid-Peninsula 71-51. For Latino College Preparatory Academy, this counts as revenge for the 45-22 loss Mid-Peninsula walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2021.

Jose Araujo was the offensive standout of the game as he scored 31 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrian Garcia, who scored 17 points.

Latino College Preparatory Academy's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Mid-Peninsula, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Latino College Preparatory Academy will face off against North Valley Baptist at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mid-Peninsula, they will head out on the road to face off against Varsity Opponent at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
