Softball Recap: Charleston Triumphs

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Charleston walked away with it. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Genoa Central Dragons 5-4. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Dragons on Thursday, too.

The win made it two in a row for Charleston and bumps their season record up to 8-5. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Genoa Central, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-10.

As of now, neither Charleston nor the Dragons have any future games scheduled.
