Clinton Prairie had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 12-10 victory over the Rossville Hornets on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Gophers have posted since May 10th.

The team relied heavily on Wyatt Harshbarger, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since May 7th. Malachi Corbin was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Clinton Prairie is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. As for Rossville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 21-8 record this season.
